Veteran Schwarzer admits he could leave Fulham in the summertime - Goal.com India

15-Apr-2013 5:00:00 PM The 40-year-old goalkeeper has indicated that he might leave Craven Cottage at the conclusion of the summer season with the west London club yet to offer him a contract extension Fulham boss Martin Jol has suggested that he is in the market for a fresh goalkeeper with Stoke's Asmir Begovic just one of the names connected with the club, and that could jeopardise Schwarzer's future. The Australian global has his heart set on featuring for the Socceroos in the Entire World Cup in Brazil and could be looking for normal starts next year to be able to complete his desire. If he had been offered a fresh package when asked, Schwarzer told reporters: "Not right now, no. I'm only attempting to do the best I could and we'll see what goes on at the end of the year. "I have a contract until the end of the season and we will wait and see. I positively wish to play before the next World Cup. I've to get there first with Australia and see how we go." The 40-year-old goalkeeper was in fine form during Fulham's 1-1 bring with Aston Villa on Saturday and director Jol has stated that he thinks Schwarzer might play at the highest level for some more years.
