Masters 2013: Participants Who'll Collapse Leaderboard After Surprising Day One

The opening round of the Masters presented lots of surprising performances. On day two, some of those participants with good beginning days should come crashing down and drop on the leaderboard, while critical competitors make their way toward the most effective. Reliability is important and several people who dominated the first round do not have what it takes to carry it through the event. Here is a consider the the leaderboard: Sergio Garcia Phil Redington/Getty Photographs Garcia played a round of golf to start the match while also introducing six birdies in order to complete six-under on the day. While Garcia played mistake-free, it is difficult to observe that continuing for the player who has so often been his worst enemy. The knowledgeable golfer appears not capable of winning a major despite his ability. The big problem is how Garcia will react to building his first big mistake of the match. When he does bogey a pit (and it'll happen), how he reacts will decide where he finishes this match. Centered on his history it is hard to assume that Garcia stays atop the leaderboard. Marc Leishman Paul Ehrmann/Getty Pictures A powerful end in the first-round gave him a of the lead heading in to the second day, but that likely won't last long. Looking at Leishman's stats, he just doesn't have the power and consistency to gain the tournament.A Leishman joined the weekend as 154th rated over all. There is known reasons for that. He's 95th in driving distance, 138th in driving accuracy and 142nd in scoring average. While Leishman did complete at six-under, he just played average on the back-nine, finishing with five birdies and four pars. For Leishman to create on his lead and remain atop the leaderboard, he must replicate that success through the entire round and not only the final nine holes. Michael Couples Mark Cannon/Getty Photos The 53-year-old Couples had an first round with six birdies and two bogeys to finish four-under. Despite achievement in the first round, Couples hasn't confirmed he is capable of holding his degree of play deep in to the weekend. Couples has played well in his last three looks at the Masters after not making the cut in 2008 and 2009. He finished sixth overall this season, T15th in 2011 and T12th in 2012. While he finished in the top 10 on day one, he'll not overall. The man has established throughout his career to be always a particular person, but as of late, lacks the product quality needed seriously to hang around with younger, more skilled players.
