Weave spent much of today considering athletesa response to the awful explosions at the Boston Marathon, however for one former Red Sox pitcher, the event hit home really surreal way. The Philliesa Jonathan Papelbon played eight times in Boston, becoming synonymous with the Red Sox, and the town it self. His Irish jig following the clinching sport of the 2007 World Series is a thing of legend, as he appeared to transform the definition of awild anticsa on a regular basis. But Papelbon was in a dour mood today before the Philliesa sport with the variety Cincinnati Reds. So was everybody in the Philadelphia club, because they watched protection of the Boston Marathon bombings on TV. At one time, Papelbon considered Cliff Lee and said, aThatas where I applied to live.a Philadelphia Inquirer: aItas unhappy, man,a Papelbon said. aPatriotsa Day is really a big thing is Boston. The Sox perform at 11 oaclock. Itas all damaged. Individuals are ruined, lives are ruined. For what? Itas only sad.a Papelbon said he held friends who still lived in his old neighbor hood. Like most, he had trouble achieving any Monday morning. Papelbon said he used to live on the corner of Boylston and Fairfield Streets, near where in actuality the bombs went off. aI used to reside right above where among the tanks went off,a Papelbon said. aItas type of unreal.
