Trish Stratus: Hall of Fame Induction Cements Legend's Status as All-Time Good

Trish Stratus joined the WWE Hall of Fame on Sunday as part of a decorated course, and this diva does not need to have a backseat to some of her colleagues. She's not really a divas legend, she's a WWE legend. Mick Foley, Booker T., Bob Backlund, Bruno Sammartino and Donald Trump (celebrity side) joined Stratus in this star-studded school (h/t Jay Amabile of the Star-Ledger). Stratus' profession with the company began in a non-wrestling role. She begun to work her way into a bigger role and eventually into the ring as her affair with Vince McMahon became a popular storyline. This resulted in an unforgettable attack atA2001's No Solution pay-per-view with McMahon's daughter Stephanie. Stratus lost that match and had yet to be always a powerful in-ring wrestler, but her charisma and intensity were on full display. It absolutely was clear by her efficiency, and the crowd's reaction, that larger things were in store for her. As she got more experienced in the ring, Stratus progressed into a great heel and a very engaging wrestler. She proceeded to be a seven-time WWE women's winner and delighted supporters with several engaging suits. In that which was probably her best performance, Stratus got on her rival Lita on Dec. 6, 2005 in the primary event on Raw. It was a crowd-pleasing and interesting fit that outlined what many feel could be the golden age of queen wrestling. By this time around in her job, Stratus had established what many thought was never possible: Strip away all the drama and storylines, and she can still provide an entertaining fit only with her power in the band. This serves as a great example of why Stratus' induction to the Hall of Fame was well-earned, and why her place in their lore is safe and eternal.
