Hernandez bemoans lack of chances in United's march to Premier League title - Daily Mail

Sunday's 2-0 win at Stoke saw 'Chicharito' start only his second league match for Sir Alex Ferguson's men since New Year's Day.

He has seen more regular actions in cup competitions, and has netted 16 goals in all competitions this season, but the Mexican striker revealed his frustration at his lack of playing time.

'It is frustrating. All the players in the world want to start every single game, every week. Of course any player wants that,' he told the Sun.

'I'm happy to be at this club but I'd love more games. My attitude is that even when the gaffer wants me to be on the bench I'm going to do my best.

Hernandez's remarks come after the striker was linked with a move away from Old Trafford to Spanish club Atletico Madrid, as part of a £47 million deal for Colombian hitman Radamel Falcao.

United are willing to let 'Chicharito' leave in order to secure Falcao's signature, who is also a target for rivals Manchester City and Chelsea.

United face West Ham at Upton Park tonight in a bid to re-establish their comfortable lead at the top of the Premier League, and Hernandez believes United have learned from defeat in last week's Manchester derby to finish their march to the title strongly.

'We are trying to learn about the mistakes from the City game and put them right,' he said. 'It's important to keep the gap and win it as well as possible. The history and the level of Manchester United, even if you had a 12-point gap and lost three, it would not feel good. 'We want to win every single game.'
