France international centre-back Angelo Ogbonna has mentioned he's "flattered" by curiosity being shown in him by Manchester United, based on Sky Sports. Stories in Italy claimed that United sent scouts to view Ogbonna during Sunday's fit between Roma and Torino. The 24-year-old defense satisfied but 15th-placed Torino slipped to a 2-1 home beat to the Rome-based membership. He insists he's concentrated on helping Torino stave off relegation, but accounts continue steadily to link the young defender with a move to the Premier League. And he admitted he is flattered to be described as a potential Manchester United move target, although he played down talk of a transfer any time soon. Speaking to Sky Sports Italia, Ogbonna said: "If they came to see me, I am obviously flattered by this, but right now I actually do not take into account the future. "I live in the current, and exactly like all my teammates, I think simply to Torino's salvation." Ogbonna shined all through last season's campaign, gaining a call up to Cesare Prandelli's Euro 2012 team. After coming through the youth rates at the club, he is gone to become one of the most sought after youthful defenders in European soccer. United have been associated with numerous centre-backs, as they check out revitalise an experienced but aging back-line. While Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand remain two of the most remarkable defenders in the Premier League, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are both anticipated to accept greater responsibility next year. But United will appear to plan ahead, and Ogbonna is apparently among the players in mind to restore Ferdinand long-term.
