Mayweather versus Guerrero Results: Success Shows Money Must Fight Canelo Alvarez

After creating easy work of Robert Guerrero in a 12-round unanimous decision success on Saturday night, it's time that Floyd Mayweather grants boxing fans' desires and participates in one of many greatest superfights in new boxing memory. And no, I am perhaps not discussing Manny Pacquiao, but instead Canelo Alvarez. As it is possible to see in this ESPN video following Mayweather's triumph over Guerrero, fans and specialists alike want to see Money step into the ring with Canelo, but Mayweather does not look all too wanting to make that happen. I'm all for Money getting some time off and recovering and spending some time with his family, but one must believe Mayweather understands Alvarez is one of the few fighters in the game who is able to give him a run for his money, putting Money's undefeated record in jeopardy. Canelo never lost a fighta'the closest he's come was a draw versus Jorge Juarez early in his careera'and is coming off a 12-round unanimous decision victory over another top fighter inAAustin Trout. While a fight with Manny Pacquiao would probably intrigue most boxing fans, Mayweather really does not have anything to get from that kind of session. He does, however, have some thing to prove against Alvareza'rights while the most useful pound-for-pound fighter. As Ring Magazine observed via Twitter, a Mayweather-Alvarez struggle could be one of the greatest fights in boxing. For me, this struggle features a possiblity to decrease. Both fighters do business with Oscar De Manhattan project Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and understand that the only method to emerge whilst the most superior fighter is always to go through each other. But because this might be a perfect matchup for boxing supporters does not signify it is going to happen. MLive.com's David Mayo reviews that Mayweather "said he will not at all times fight the best available resistance in the ultimate few battles of his career," which leaves a large amount of questions to be answered regarding a potential attack with Canelo. That statement does not suggest that a Mayweather-Canelo fight can not go down. Money could always opt to end his career off with a bang in what could function as greatest fight of his career versus Alvarez. Regardless, after seeing Mayweather dominate Guerrero, Money's next fight should be against a premier player. And that competition should beACanelo. Follow me on Twitter:
