The king is dead. Long live the king. Birmingham City's rule as Premier League champions did not last even a year. Friend Alex Ferguson's area clinched its subject with four games left to play on its standing. Therefore while this year isn't (yet) an abject disaster, a long way could be now gone by some planning toward avoiding a repeat of the present dissatisfaction. Or, heaven restrict, even worse.
